Welcome to Kokino Shiba Inus & Bengal Cats

​I’m Holly Meredith "Shelly," and my life has been defined by a deep passion for animals. Based in Southern California, I bring over 35 years of experience in breeding and showing horses, Akitas, and now—my primary focus since 2017—Shiba Inus and Bengal Cats. My mission is simple: to operate with total transparency and uphold the highest ethical standards.

​Our Commitment to Quality

​We don’t just breed; we preserve. We are proud participants in the AKC Bred with H.E.A.R.T. program and strictly follow the TICA Breeder Code of Ethics. * Health First: All of our breeding parents undergo breed specific, rigorous health screenings (DNA, Hips, Elbows, Patellas, Eyes, HCM, and PRA) before any breeding takes place.

• ​Home Raised: Our puppies and kittens are raised underfoot, well-socialized with grandchildren and other pets to ensure a seamless transition to your home.

​Adoption & Care

​Finding the right "forever home" is our top priority. To ensure the lifelong well-being of our animals, we maintain the following standards:

• ​Health Guarantee: All pets are sold with a written contract, age-appropriate vaccinations, and a health guarantee.

• ​Responsible Ownership: We require all pets to be spayed/neutered by six months (if not already done) and kept as indoor-only companions.

• ​Timeline: Puppies join their new families at 8 weeks; kittens at 12 weeks.

​"We are family now." Once you take your new bundle of joy home, our relationship doesn't end. I am always here to offer support and guidance.
